by real i meant movies with a proper script, character definition, a plot etc...
none of those Doom...Tomb Raider ...etc. really met any of the above criteria....
I'm not sure what you mean by "real film" but there've been a few movies that were derived from games. Final Fantasy The Spirits Within, and Doom are two examples of really bad movies from games, but "Tomb Raider" while cheesy, doesn't strike me as any less "real" than any other formulaic action-adventure movie. I thought it was better than "Temple of Doom" for example. -- Charles
