I've seen it -- it doesn't beat the fluorescents by a factor of two
yet, as the most efficient LEDs do. This one is damn bright, though,
so I look forward to buying a LED lamp that is bright enough for
a desktop.

There are cuttable LED strips around

but I'm not especially excited about them yet.

Something self-adhesive, bright and with a good solid state AC/DC
converter would be good.
