The Sony line of point and shoot cameras are pretty good and you can get a great deal for about $200-225 with 5-year warranty and a bigger memory card from B&H in New York. Best of luck. Kamla

What kind of camera do they have now, and what do they like/dislike about it? That said, I like Sthitaprajna's list. I have a Canon SD800IS, and like it as a "always have it with me" camera. We also have a Lumix, the current model is TZ-3. If you want a more "serious" camera I like the Canon Powershot S3 IS.
