on another note, you should stop using the new UI for Yahoo mail.
See what a mess it's made of your post?
Her post came through fine for me. Maybe it's time to give Eudora its
golden handshake?
OK, this sequence of messages inspired me to do
some research. There are actually multiple issues
involved here. Those not interested in mildly
obsessive mail weenie-ism can delete now.
1. Kiran is right - Eudora is screwing up display
of some posts, such as Divya's post [1] that
started this exchange. It seems that Eudora is
not recognising line breaks in some posts properly. Any ideas why?
2. My outburst was triggered by the fact that I
am annoyed with the new Yahoo mail [2], primarily
with its inability to quote messages properly
(e.g, by prefixing each line of the quoted
message with the '>' character), instead doing
the braindead way of dumping a copy of the
original message, *without quoting*, under a line
that says "Original Message" (à la Outolook) and
forcing you to top-post. Divya's headers show
that she's using the new UI, so I'm not sure how
her message is properly quoted - unless she did it by hand.
3. I've been meaning to move away from Eudora for
ages - but haven't found a MUA to replace it for
me. Thunderbird comes close, but the deal-breaker
for me is an inability to selectively delete
messages from a POP3 server [3] which is
necessitated by my admittedly somewhat peculiar mail setup. Any suggestions?

[2] Actually, the new UI for Yahoo mail. The old UI doesn't do this.
