Amazing stuff. The way technology moves is mind boggling.

I was just guesstimating that my Moto Q incorporates computing power and 
memory that is 20 to 30 times more  than that of the first PC I ever owned - 
bought in 1991 (late by many standards).

However I had bought a small handheld computing device by Radio Shack in 1986 
- I stiil have it, IIRC It had 4 kb of memory or some such thing. I taught 
myself programming in BASIC on that device.
