Jolida (JD 1501RC) hybrid valve amp at <$1000 is slightly more expensive but much better sounding. It mates very well with the RS6's. http://www.jolida.com/catalogue/models/jd1501rc.shtml Decent pre/power combos are pricier but not necessarily better. They make sense if you're trying to drive louder speakers or ones that are less sensitive (<90dB). Or of course if you're spending much more ($3000+ per component).
