This can't be right. There was only one person fleeing, so that should be: 
Exit, pursued by a bear. Who else was there? The baby was left on stage, AFAIK 
(where are our on-list grammarians when we really need them?).

I wonder how Wodehouse would have written up this one .. somewhat on the
lines of Jeeves and Bertie enacting the one line from Shakespeare that
Bertie knows (Exeunt, Pursued by a Bear - from "The Winter's Tale"). Damned
if I can find a copy of that skit online though.
