Not "ashram" / "artists retreat" type communes, PLEASE. There's a degree of pretentiousness involved in most of those places that's frankly off-putting, at least for me. How about a resort hotel type place .. Bala's lodge wherever it is on the road to Ooty. Or somewhere else of that sort?
