Well, to be honest, I didn't expect it to segfault.

I tried KMail, Thunderbird, Evolution, and mutt on the same mailbox. All
of them issue the same (kind of) "UID FETCH 1:* ..." command after they
select the mailbox, which is inherently brain-damaged (though all three
other clients coped, eventually). They should fetch only what they need
to render the initially-visible part of the mailbox, rather than making
the user wait.

What is particularly disappointing is that Pine has existed as a better
example of how to do IMAP for well over a decade. But it looks like none
of these new clients have learned anything from it (but there are others
that do better, e.g. Mulberry and Polymer).
