While I agree with you in general, in this specific case I find Intel's claim plausible. 1) I've seen (a small part of) what Intel does to get consistency in manufacturing 2) I have a small understanding of what's required to make chips. So you're right to be cynical and suspicious in general, but *I* think this case is legit. -- Charles
