So, we've discussed the "loudness war" on various occasions in the
past (I've left in a fragment of an earlier discussion at the bottom
of this message for context).

I have a question for the hivemind.

I seem to recall a couple of webpages where enthusiasts have posted
lists of CDs which actually have some dynamic range to them as opposed
to the clipped-wall-of-noise that is the norm these days. My search-fu
doesn't seem to be good enough to track this down, though. The closest
I've come is here [1].

Any ideas?
