For those that want to read an excellent book that covers the basics of Anarchist thought and practice, I can't recommend this book enough, which one can download for free, enough:

(And btw, most of the Prickly Paradigm Press books are indeed prickly and usually a great read ---> http://www.prickly-paradigm.com/history.html)

It is one of those rare books that I can teach to all sorts of students students because it is lively, engaging, and most important, humorous.

Among other points, he argues that anarchism (as in stateless societies, but of course, that does not mean they are without organization) has been and is still with us and provides all sorts of examples and then muses on the nature of power, politics, and what anthropology has to offer anarchist theory.

Great food for thought.
