If you read the book "The Indians" by psychologists Sudhir and Katharina Kakar
you will learn that shit (found everywhere you want in India) is considered
so dirty that it is not used "casually" - even as a curse word. No Indian
language has the equivalent of shit used as a curse word, although
motherf**cker and other curse words are common.

Shit is unclean and is meant to be gotten rid of. Pronto. And once you are rid
of it you don't want t look at it, talk about it, or acknowledge it. Cleaning
it up, when necessary, was ultimately delegated to a bunch of second class
citizens.

Hindu practices are full of advice about why and how to make sure you have a
good crap. Yoga too has exercise to do that. Anyone who craps less than once
a day (common among people on a high meat low veg diet) is considered
constipated. A common complaint among Indian patients is that they are not
getting "satisfaction" from crapping.
