Possibly an accident but I got my first Indian credit card out of the blue by mail a couple of weeks back. Ironical because I've been trying to get a card for the last 4 years, with no success. No, my credit isn't that bad, but apparently I must have a namesake on a credit defaulter shitlist.

I certainly think the brakes are being applied, but the Indian economy is an inefficient lumbering giant that won't stop easily once started. Or, in Banker speak the economic signalling systems are weak.

I don't think Indians digest bad news as easily as the rest of the world, everyone seems to be pinning their hopes on a good Diwali.
