Any idea if they do a drum scan? Most photo places (Konica, Kodak franchies) will get your slides scanned through their elaborate process somewhere upstream mechanism. The quality will vary. Your best bet is to find a smallish place that deals with professionals. In Bangalore Prabhu's off of Brigade Road is one such place. I am not familiar with ones in Madras. Thaths -- "Silly Indians.
