Certainly what she has written is more compelling (though some ideas
are completely misplaced...)... and of course its difficult to compare
write-ups of a novelist vs that of a blogger... (in the sense that the
writing style adds to the interest...).

Still... the point about the hotel makes sense in some way...You have
naxalites operating with impunity in parts of the country... you have
parts of the east which arent really under any government control...
many deaths never even get reported because they happen far away from
shopping malls/ cinemas and hotels... But I guess that is the nature
of things, I have been to the taj mahal hotel so perhaps it matters
more to me than 100 people who were shot dead in some unknown village
in orissa....
