Just look at this from a slighlty different perspective. These terrorist attacks - of which we have seen too many in 2008 are, IMO an essential symptom of Pakistan's slow break up. The rest of the world is not too interested in "understanding" Pakistan and the compulsions of Pakistanis and how the Pakistani people have been used and manipulated. The one country with the biggest stake in this, India, has a population of largely ignorant people across the education spectrum who are uninterested in Pakistan, and this disinterest extends to government and policy makers. That is changing only now. India's success is Pakistan's failure. India has to fail for Pakistan to succeed. But this seems to be too abstract an idea for most people, regardless of their education, to understand. Pakistan is failing and it will hiit India repeatedly as it does. shiv
