This whole kissing thing is a Western concept, and is against Indian
culture. I agree with Pranesh that if someone really believes in our
traditions, they should not kiss.
To add to that, kisses are also referred to as "x". "X" is also the symbol
for wrong (as opposed to the tick mark, which is the symbol for 'correct' or
'right').

KISS is also an American heavy metal band with widespread notoriety. The
name was supposed to be an anagram for Knights in Satan's Service.
