The USP of cremation is that it dos not require the reservation of real 
eastate for your rotten remains for years after you are dead. The UK took up 
cremation long ago because land for burial does not come cheap. But then the 
UK turned pagan long ago.

I recall saying on Silk long ago that the first programmable hand-held 
computer I bought (in 1985) was bouth using extra "ash-cash" I earned in the 
UK. "Ash-cash" is extra money ("cremation fees") that junior dcotors were 
paid to certify the deaths of people who were to be cremated - basically 
saying "This is not a suspicious death and I have no pecuniary interest in 
this death" - which is a half truth.

Doctors working on geriatric wards would have a couple of deaths every night 
and could make a killing out of this (in those days)
