More often. such a person would die during his cremation, even if he was ROTFL 
at the start.

But there is a more serious point about pollution. I suspect (without proof) 
that 80% of all cremations in India are done with firewood and with Hindus 
wanting to either die in Banaras or wanting their remains to be disposed 
there the corruption on the funeral business is extreme (I am told) 

So you have half burned bodies being flung into the Ganga (and to save 
firewood) I'm guessing that the ghat - the riverside pedestal on which the 
cremation takes place gets purified by flinging the body into the river and 
the moolah flows in as the next stiff comes in sooner.
