I'm new here, so pardon me if I'm speaking out of turn. I am a "Bati", with lineage from both sides of the border. Temperamentally, I consider myself a Bangal and jibe at some stereotypical "Ghoti" characteristics. Parts of what Bonobashi wrote ring true, parts seem like popular myth. He may have experienced them, I have not.
But I would say that he does the entire Bangal diaspora a disservice by choosing Mamata Banerjee to personify their supposed qualities.
