Technically an Indian leader (in a country of predominanly Hindus) must
publicly meet the standards of Lord Rama. No dabauchery. Monogamy. Opinion is
not liberal enough to allow public scutiny of sex and whether that sex was OK
or not OK. This is a country in which kissing is not shown in movies despite
having a film industry that produces more movies than anyone esle on earth.

It is another matter that everyone is merrily having it off with everyone else
but to be Indian (in public view) requires certain modes of behavior as part
of etiquette. Such etiquette can also be described as the behavior of an
insincere fraud. To be a polite Indian you have to be an insincere fraud. I
must send wedding invitations out to people who live 25000 miles away and
they must all agree to attend the wedding. RSVP is an idiotic French
expression that can have no polite meaning.
