It's like this:

I like my Mac very much, but it's heavy, and there's no such thing as a
light Mac that's decently featured (the Air isn't a candidate due to its
single USB port).

I also like netbooks running Ubuntu, but they fall short on those two
counts, a combination of hardware and software shortcomings.

A hackintosh netbook would be a great compromise, except it's a shaky
platform, and the best netbook for OSX, the Mini 10v, is overall a poor
netbook.

A 11" netbook would have been a decent compromise, but all the 11" netbooks
run the Z520/530 or similarly underpowered processors. Damn you, Intel.

A 11/12" laptop that matches netbook weight and battery life won't come for
under $1000, which is a shame.

So essentially, I'm asking:

1. Is there some hardware I haven't noticed yet?
2. How do you manage music on Ubuntu without getting to hate it?

I'm off photography until there's a decent camera that fits in my pocket and
can directly upload to the Internet.

How about having two machines? A netbook-class one chosen for its

Works for me, except when traveling upwards of a week. If I can get my music
entirely off iTunes, it'll work great.
