Why does the SC always have to be the adult in the room? I find this a disturbing phenomenon not just in Indian government but it's also been my experience when dealing with private individuals and companies in India - there's a strong tendency to try to do things in half measures until otherwise corrected. What is it about the India that makes this happen?
