Well, if it is basic coffee you want, and don't mind efficient low-tech,
Currimbhoys (and Poppat Jamal) of Madras have your Neopolitan Espresso pots
for about INR 500. I am sure other cities have retailers of home needs.
Currimbhoys did have a Bangalore outlet, if I am not wrong.

The Espresso pots are superb. In my year in Bristol, I'd make about 5-6
batches of coffee throughout the day, each yielding me about 2 very good
espressos.

They go on stoves/hobs/induction plates.
