To revive this old thread that I came across quite by accident, I
recently got myself the 11.6" MacBookAir - which at 1.06kg is a
delight to use, and unlike the ipad has a real os and a full size
physical keyboard.

I maxed out the RAM, SSD and CPU upgrades since I expect to be using
this machine for a while.

The very next day after I bought it I came across the Lenovo thinkpad
x201 with SSD which is a beautiful machine too, and I would consider
it if I was going to run Linux.
