I've heard the contention that Wall posts and Facebook personal
messages are fast replacing email as the chosen medium of
communication among the young. The young are said to look at email as
an ancient, creaky technology that their parents use. Sort of like how
we viewed telex (though telex was almost purely a business
communication medium).
