Hi Udhay,
Have to thank u again on some more thought provoking posts :). Before I start
off, I have to mention that silk list has become a sort of collection of
esoteric, folks who contribute to various spaces, most likely the largest
fraction of them is in literary sphere (makers in creative sense :))

Going back to the work vs life line of reasoning, I have to admit among other
things that I have read Life Inc :). I have observed some resurgence in
"maker"movement, I.e. Folks trying to use their hands to create stuff (doesn't
always have to be hands....). There have been hackerspaces coming up all
around the globe (I have to again admit guilt of association), have largely
seen technology enabling folks to build things, the best example I have is
"makerbot" and introduction of build your own CNC machines.

I have to admit that hackerspaces, is niche phenomenon. But there higher number
if folks who make stuff for a living in them, for the representative
demographic (education and age).

Another trend that has been noticed is personalisation, may be some truth in
the argument that each revolutionary step de-skills folks, at the same time
there is an increase in skill level needed at higher end, in fact more complex
skills. At the sane time, technology has enabled folks to do things, which they
couldn't do before ...

Regards
Anish
