Without asking my unkal Googal if "permaculture" means something specific, it occurs to me to ask why permaculture would require any thought at all. For example cockroaches, or sharks could be taken as examples of permaculture. They use no more than they can get. If they use too much they die out, so evolution ensures that they are "sustainable". How about the tribals in the Andamans as permaculture? shiv
