It's funny in hindsight, but in the blighted automobile economy of 80s India it used to be the hottest thing on two wheels on Indian roads. It was a badly engineered, knock off of not that great a Yamaha motorcycle that had a lot of performance and safety features removed for cost efficiency. The enormous demand for it should have educated the automobile manufacturers about the unsatisfied demand in the market, but strangely they failed to catch on.
