If you ask my view there is no near term solution for Pakistan. Only continued
failure. Pakistan is an area of land that has historically survived by trade
with what is now India. it's creation was a mistake but India was helped by
the exodus of a whole lot of Islamic extremists into Pakistan in 1947.
Pakistan can only survive by trade with India. Indians are the only stupids in
the world who can buy and actually use the crap produced in Pakistan.

The main reason why Pakistan cannot do business with India is that it is
controlled by Islamic extremist groups who use American and Chinese aid to
stay opposed to india. The army is the foremost among these, but islamist
groups like the Taliban have also had US support for decaces until 9-11.

But the US worries that it will "lose Pakistan" if they stop funding the
Pakistan army. So the US jkeeps feeding the Pakistan army that hates india but
supports Islamist groups that bite the US in the butt.

In my view the US must stop funding and arming the Pakistan army, but the US
is stuck like a monkey with its hand in a narrow necked jar full of peanuts.

It's going to be beer and popcorn for a long time. For holier than thou
Indians who don't drink beer it will be chai biskoot (tea and biscuits)

shiv

PS as an aside, if you are interested, here is a tongue in cheek video of
facts and myths about Pakistan set to music by a certain little known german
composer called Beethoven.
