TP Issar's 'The City Beautiful' is good if you skip his text, and look at only the pictures. It is a coffee table, so you can do that. Aditi De's anthology of writings on Bangalore called Multiple City is very inconsistent in its selections, but there are some good ones in it--like Shashi Deshpande's piece on growing up in Bangalore. Peter Colaco's book is popular, but is a very limited viewpoint of Bangalore.
