Some years ago "Bosca" used to be the most common brand (does it still exist ? ). I remember buying a bottle of "Riesling" and "Chenin Blanc" and they looked and tasted awfully the same. The cheapest value for money wine i have seen is in northern italy.. where during season you can get pretty decent Tocai , Riesling for 1 - 1.5 euro / litre - cheaper than fueling your car. Some cantinas even have gas-station style dispensers.
