Here are two videos - one from the 1920s and the other from the 1960s predicting the future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czr-98yo6RU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RRxqg4G-G4 Of course there are some things that did not happen. But what actually was achieved as predicted is remarkable. It almost seems like these visions of the future were turned into reality by the young people who saw them when they later became scientists and engineers. If positive visions of the future created in the 1920s and 1960s have led to a pessimistic dystopian view of the future today, what went wrong? What have the successes done that causes negativism today? Can those mistakes be avoided? What were the mistakes made in getting to where the world is today. Any thoughts anyone? PS has anyone read "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn? http://www.amazon.in/Ishmael-An-Adventure-Mind-Spirit/dp/0553375407/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1409928142&sr=8-1&keywords=ishmael
