You can always make something be remotely linked to Buddhism. The problem generally is the asymmetry of power e.g. (1) when one person is an admin and another person is not, or (2) when person is a long-time member (and therefore, "known" to everyone) and another person is not If you want to seriously discuss this, you should first remove the asymmetry. For this, the Buddhist Debate Group would be ideal. Indeed, it won't take you more than a few minutes to subscribe to that group as well as to the Buddha Dharma Facebook group.
