Let me answer that with an anecdote. Yahoo! shut down its R&D operation in Bangalore some time ago. The most immediate response to that from the ecosystem that I could see was the Yahoo! alumni groups being flooded by messages from people asking the laid off employees to send their resumes over. I suspect this 'deadpool list' would be a similarly rich mine for any recruiter.
