Realised I’ve been to a lot of festivals than independent concerts, but
they always had specific standout performances that I’m going to use as
stand-ins…

Imogen Heap at NH7 Pune: hearing her do Hide and Seek solo on the key-tar
was goosebump inducing and practically magical

Anderson.Paak in Bangalore: it was an absolute party and felt engaging
every second he was on stage jumping between being centre stage and holding
attention from behind the drums as well

Masego at AfroPunk for new year’s in Joburg: (also GoldLink and BlinkyBill
but Masego was a standout) perfect precisely performed, it felt like he
managed every moment so perfectly that the whole set was an experience
