the server is especially slow and I lost the complete url to the
article.
I emailed someone asking for a position paper on silver.
I also read that the confiscated a million dollars worth of something
that sounded like accuspark, which they said was just a pizeoelectric
gas grill starter.
"Over-the-counter drug products containing silver-based ingredients are
not generally recognized as safe and are misbranded, according to an
FDA proposed rule. Many of these products are marketed for treating
serious diseases such as AIDS, cancer, tuberculosis, and malaria. But
the agency is not aware of scientific evidence that supports
silver-based ingredients as disease treatment. Written comments on the
proposed rule must be submitted by Jan. 13, 1997, to the Dockets
Management Branch (HFA-305), FDA, Room 1-23, 12420 Parklawn Drive,
Rockville, MD 20857. (FR Oct. 15)"
