Greetings to the silver list!

In response to Gary' request for statements on the
above subject.

"Side effects/adverse reactions to colloidal silver."

An interesting effect can be duplicated by interested
persons, all you need is a dog with fleas. I found one in
rather poor shape and gave the puppy a bath. I started with
colloidal silver (homebrew). I sprayed his head and entire
body...totally saturated his fur with it. In just seconds ,
his blonde fur became crimson red. The flea eggs released
their fluids (I assume this is what happened) and in a
significant amount. The adult fleas remained active until
the flea shampoo, which followed, was applied repeatedly.

Said that to say this....An adverse effect was reported to
me by a brother who had been present when a young woman
(with an acute infection of the tonsils and at least one
inner-ear) put a small amount of colloidal silver into her
infected ear. She found that it became uncomfortable rapidly
and then became painful. She immediately flushed the ear
with water, and had no further discomfort or problems of any
kind. What caused this? The rapid death of infectious agents
in the ear...excreting their fluids? I don't know the
answer. I do know that there were no further problems from
the reaction. Also that this was an extreme infection, and
very active with pathogens. A solution of only 5ppm was
used, BTW.

I have also heard a man say that when he put colloidal
silver in his irritated eye, a burning feeling insued. He
did not make the concentration of the solution known at that
time. It may be a number of things. Not knowing the specific
information necessary, (ie. the concentration of the
solution, the condition of the eye, the purity of the
solution, the nature of the reaction, etc.) it is hard to
draw any solid conclusions from this event. This type of
"testimony" is very common. A lot of the opposition to
colloidal silver is based on this type of "testimony".

It is my experience that, when 5ppm concentrations are used,
there are very little adverse reactions, and no lasting side
effects.( This is with topical applications, and with oral
use.) A concentration of 5ppm used in an intravenious
injection MUST be injected very slowly to avoid a "kill-off"
effect. It was recommended to use 5cc of 5ppm solution,
injected gradually over a 5 minute period. This was gleaned
> from Dr. DeLynn Hansen, a well-known manufacturer of
colloidal silver. I have not used this method, but have used
an intra-muscular approach with good results.

Best to the Silver List!

God Bless,
