Greetigns to the Silver-List! Great idea John!!
It has been used successuflly in purifying swimingpools! The Revive Site had an article on it. They pumped a huge amound of potent bacteria (giardia? e-coli?), into a test pool. They then hooked up a set of electrodes to the waterline going into the pool. In short order they took a test for bacteria...it was virtually nonexistent. Beats the heck out of chlorine!!! A lot lees expensive than both chlorine and ozone (hydrogen peroxide too!). If I had a fish aquarium I would cetainly give it a go! :) (shouldn't take much!) What about filtration of the possible toxins released into the water by the elements being killed off? Would it be better to start out with an entirely new (freshly drained and cleaned) aquarium environment....then fill with CS treated water? Maybe placing a single fish in a small bowl of treated water for a couple of days would be a good test, first? If anyone has a particularly unhealthy fish...it might be interesting to see if the new enviroment fixes what ails him! Lots of possibilities...... Boy, this is an interesting list!! :) God Bless, Scott On Sat, 1 Mar 1997, John Bancroft wrote: > Hi to all on Silver List, > > QUESTION.... > > Can anyone tell me what effects colloidal silver may, or has had, > in a home fish-aquarium? > Has anyone tried it? > > Effects on the fish? > > Effects on any mold in the aquarium? > > > John Bancroft. > >
