Hi Jack and list,

Since I took part in that discussion, I guess I'm partly responsible.
Although I wouldn't consider what I wrote to be flames, I know I kept
the thread going a little longer. If anyone was hurt or discomfited
by it, please accept my sincerely apology.

Certainly! So here's a couple of observations and a question...

Just as I was making my first few batches of CS, Rose began to feel
a cold coming on. She had seen the information I was coming up with
and was satisfied that the stuff isn't dangerous, so decided to give
it a try. She took a couple of ounces twice a day for the duration of
the cold. Her symptoms were typical of a cold, including 2-3 days of
intense runny nose, itchy eyes, sinus congestion, etc. But, after
7-10 days it had run it's course.

So what's the big deal? Well, this is the first time in as long as
we can remember that the cold did not lead to a secondary infection
and a cough that would hang around for 4-6 weeks. When the virus was
through, that was it.

As for me, I've been taking various dosages since mid-April. I've had
a bout with allergies (unusual for me in the spring), but no colds,
coughs, bronchitis, or strep throat. No scientific study, but a good
start. If I can go 6 months without getting sick, and especially if
my usual August bout with hay fever is diminished, I'll be really
impressed.

Now a question: Have you noted any cramping in the lower abdomen
after initiating or increasing your dosage of CS? It has happened
twice to me, and lasted a couple of hours. It might be just an upset
in the flora, but I would like to know if anyone else has felt
anything like it or has any ideas.

So it does. Thank you, Jack.
