Yes, heating the distilled water helps and I've heard several storys of CS helping lyme but know of none that has tryed increaseing the PPM threw heating. If your heating the water you should seriously check the PPM. It only costs 10-15 and can be done localy. That high a PPM might not be good for you. I know it hasn't been tested for long periods of time. Here's some other things that I've found that help with lyme. Ginger, potasium cloride, the B/R machine, and prenatal vitamins.
