>>The Bob Beck equipment uses about 27 volts to form colloidal silver. All >>the equipment I have been involved with used much higher voltages (over 100 >>volts in most cases with one experimental device using 15000 volts). >There you go Reid!! Hi YO SILVER...AWAAAAY!! That kind of voltage ought to
Won't catch me trying 15000 volts. As accident prone as I am I wouldn't even get the HI YO out before I was toasted. >>My main criticism of these units, at the present >>time, is that they use up batteries quickly and those 9 volt batteries are >>not cheap. >With a 30 volt DC/ 400 mA power supply purchased from Mouser Electronics ($30), you don't have a battery problem. The ac/dc adaptor problem is solved, no more smoke in the kitchen. :) You can get all the parts from Radio Shack to build one that produces 90 volts and it's harmless. It works on the same princable as a stun gun with a lot less volts. The transformer is a 30v AC and it uses 3 caps. and 3 diodes to produce the 90 DC volts. I've touched the rods many times even when wet and it gives a little tickle like the 27 volts but doesn't hurt anything. It also makes 20 ppm in about 10-20 minutes. Cost about $10 for the parts if you don't add an box or anything fancy. Reid
