AhhhHA! That was exactly the kind of information I was looking for in
my response to your "dumb" question post. (Not dumb at all,
Nancy!)
There are 6 tsp per fluid ounce, 2 tbsp per fluid ounce, and 30 ml
per fluid ounce (approximately).
3 ounces of 45ppm daily would be:
3 ounces X 30 ml per ounce = 90 ml or 0.09 liters
45 ppm is another way of expressing: 45 mg per liter
So the other patients' daily dose was about:
45 mg/liter X 0.09 liters = 4.05 mg or 4050 micrograms
This is still within the realm of safety, at least by OSHA exposure
limits which are in the neighborhood of *hundreds* of milligrams
total exposure before complications.
YOU were taking "3 TBS of 8 ppm bid" (bid=twice per day) which works
out to:
6 tbsp = 3 oz = 90 ml again, or 0.09 liters
8 ppm is 8 mg per liter
So your daily dose was:
8 mg/liter X 0.09 liters = 0.72 mg or 720 micrograms
The other patients were consuming 4050/720 or 5.6 times as much as
actual silver as you were!
Again, I don't know what your results would be, if you tried it. I am
not a doctor, etc... You have to make your own mind up on it. But
these examples show the kinds of calculations we've got to work with
to know what we're doing.
Good luck! I'm looking forward to further comments and discussion.
Peace,
Mike
