As near as we can tell here, they're all making stuff that works. This is so that we can tell you "Do do this, that, and then this, and you'll get approximately these results..." The biggest problem right now is most of the instructions you can find tend to be at least a little vague in some detail or another. This does *not* lead to confidence! *That* is one reason why there is a silver list, to help fill in those gaps for you. We do need to learn what sort of particle size distributions, concentrations, and bioactivity characteristics are produced by the various competing techniques, and hopefully find ways to easily and accurately measure them. These efforts may eventually get expensive, and will certainly be time consuming, but they need to be done if CS is ever to benefit as many people as it should. The bottom line is, we've a good number of folks who *are* getting good results from their CS. They are *not* trying to sell you anything and have no motive for telling you about it other than to help. *These* folks are the reason I'm looking at CS and will continue to do so until I'm satisfied. I hope you don't abandon the effort. If you need CS to work, I want you to be able to succeed. We can start again to layout something that will work, according to the combined (and sometimes conflicting) experience of all of us on the list.
