Donna,

I was on the antibiotics for 4-5 months. I was under lots of stress and
was having chest pains and was tired all the time so my doctor suggested
putting me on medicine for lyme disease because all of my tests came back
negative and he said lyme disease doesn't show up sometimes. Well, the
main few symptoms turned into about 20 slowly but surely on the
antibiotics.. major GI distress developed after awhile, I lost 37 lbs.
despite eating 3000 calories per day and not before long each time I
popped a doxycycline pill, I would burp the entire pill back up and
disgusting powder would fly out of my nose, while I had terrible
heartburn doing so. After reading about antibiotics I decided I'd give
them up. I did and felt better right away, I've come a damn long way in
the past 3-4 months but the GI distress is the only thing that remains.
