Subject: CS>rife responses / post maternity afflictions

>Now I have a contact who having recently given birth has symptoms
including;
>carpal tunnel .....she gets some relief from special exercise,
>joint pains particularly ankles & inside of knees /elbows.
>Some physician had her blood tested ..and said her body has an elevated
>immune response.....and lupus is the body attacking itself...

This does sound like it could be a type of systemic infection; it certainly
isn't a normal response to childbirth. These symptoms fall amongst the
numerous advanced Lyme disease symptoms. Lupus, like multiple sclerosis,
chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, ALS, and other immune disorders has
an unidentified cause. Having had contact with many Lyme "victims", I am
aware that these syndromes often have their roots in Lyme disease. People
are frequently misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed, and Lyme disease is often
overlooked as a possibility. Unfortunately, many doctors are willingly
ingnorant about Lyme; others need some education on it. False negative
blood tests and lack of rash are very common in this mysterious infection.

**This is a hard thing to say, but if this woman may have a systemic
infection, there should be concern as to whether the baby may have been
exposed in utero or through breast feeding. Although there are no studies
documenting this, many doctors & parents KNOW that Lyme disease can and is
transmitted in utero. Heart problems, poor immune system & muscle tone, and
ADD symptoms are frequent symptoms in babies and young children.

I had the symptoms you mentioned amongst countless others through the peak
of my battle with Lyme disease 1994-6). It is not unusual for hormone
changes to bring on relapses or awareness that something is wrong. In fact,
many women have monthly flareups coinciding with their cycles.

Lyme disease can cause hormonal imbalances & thyroid disease, leading to
emotional disturbances and more.

Pitocin (oxytocin), a synthetic hormone, is often given in childbirth to
increase strength and length of contractions in a situation where the doctor
feels labor needs to be helped along or sped up. I had this with my first
child but it could have been avoided if the staff had realized I had only
been in (unproductive) labor 12, not 24 hours! I'm a nurse and knew inside
and out how normal labor is supposed to go. I didn't question this as my
water had broken before onset of labor, and nothing was happening. It was
only later that I found out they had the time wrong. They could have waited
another 12 hours.

It was an intense labor, but thankfully, my son was born just 2 hours and 9
minutes after the pit was started. All's well that ends well. My parents'
visit was to end the next day, and they got to see our firstborn before
returning home!

This can be harsh, causing the unborn baby's head to hit the "floor" more
intensely than in labor on natural hormones & labor. There's risk of
damaging the uterus and the cervix, and tearing may be worse due to
intensity. But it has spared many moms the dreaded c-section too, myself
included.

After my son's birth, it took me several weeks-- actually, months & months
to get over back and chest pain I thought was from the pregnancy & delivery.
I started getting sharp pains in the area of my heart, and overwhelming
fatigue. For months, I could barely tolerate a shopping trip to the grocery
store. I'd sweat, my heart would pound, and I had shortness of breath. I
believe that this was my first intense encounter with Lyme disease, which I
probably contracted as a child. (Milder symptoms go that far back.)

In order to tie this in with CS, I will add that after 26 months of
antibiotics which in themselves sickened me, I plateaued in healing for Lyme
disease (about 90% well on average) and began taking just CS. I soon hit
the 100% wellness mark, averaging 95-98%. I stopped at the end of May, '98,
but now feel it's time to resume again, at a maintenance dose. I'm just not
feeling my best, and want to keep things in check before they worsen. (Mild
aches in limbs & back, some fatigue & palpitations returning.) Autumn has
never been "easy" for me, whether this is from lack of daylight, allergies,
cold weather, or all of the above. But I do know that when I'm on silver I
feel better, in fact, terrific, overall.

I find it necessary to test my theories about CS on myself. This was a long
stretch to go without CS and maintain a high level of health & stamina, for
which I'm grateful to my Lord. Now I'll go back on and see again if I
rebound as I have in the past. I rate myself 80-90% well right now. Can't
complain! Was much worse in the thick of things!

Sincerely,
Nancy B.
