Your health care sources have given you excellent advice....I believe.
Several years ago my wife had a sudden onset of multiple episodes of rapid
kidney stones formation. Many modalities were tried before we found anything
that was, truly, reliable-----and repeatable in beneficial results. The best
treatment found was a combination of FRESH lemon juice (1 large lemon) in one
cup of water; followed by two cups of mineral-free water once each hour. Two
hours after taking lemon juice gave 1 cup of cranberry juice (made from frozen
concentrate). If frozen concentrate is not available, any high quality
cranberry JUICE is acceptable. Repeat this protocol at least 3 times within 24
hours. The additional water intake was found to be essential for avoiding acid
concentration complications. My wife achieved total relief within 48
hours----EVERY TIME---this condition manifested. Prior to employing this
protocol, my wife required hospitalization, and emergency treatment, several
times within one year. She has since learned the importance of taking plenty of
magnesium (best form is magnesium oxide) on a daily basis. Since including a
high-quality magnesium supplement on a daily basis she has had NO problems
during the last 5 years. While this is a single, anecdotal case, our research
group has, during the past two years, conducted an extensive literature search
---yielding much corroborative data for similar protocols utilizing lemon
juice, cranberry juice, and fresh cherries or cherry juice. Best wishes in
your personal health endeavors. Brooks Bradley.
