Tried a new silver method today. Instead of my 9v pulser, I used 3 9v
batteries[27 v]. Things developed faster-about 5 min. for discernable
activity, 10 min. until tarnish built up to major levels. This was with my
sheet silver for both anode and cathode-about 3/4 by 3/4" wetted area, in 4
oz. distilled water. BTW, I have been using a store brand of distilled
water which is labeled ozonated-no sign of silvering the container. I make
sure to avoid electrical contact with the glass, just in case.
Anyone know the formula for cleaning tarnish off silver without nasty
chemicals? Lemon juice seems to ring a bell.
