To all interested CS list members;

As some of you know,CS is part of my therapy in my long, sucessful, holding
action with Prostate Cancer.

I am still in the process of investigating CS for my support group and to
find out how it was sold in the 1930's. I was a young adult electrician in
those days and whenever the weather turned cold we outdoor construction
workers would come down with sore throats/sinus infections.

I would go to our family doctor who would "paint" my throat with a dark
brown liquid (Argorol?) and give me a prescription for Argorol and tell me
to take 2 aspirins every 6 hours and drink lots of liquid and go back to
work.My Mom would paint my throat twice a day and in 3 days I would be
"cured".

The doctor visit cost $2.00,the Argorol cost $2.50 and a small tin
container of aspirin cost $0.10 --wages were $0.75 per hour(supply your own
tools). A used Model A Ford cost about $100 and gasoline was 17 cents a
gallon !!

Last night I stumbled across a list of names that were trade names for CS.
One of the trade names was Argorol !!

Sooooo... CS has a long history of being an effective medicine.

Good health to all of you !!
